Broncoholic's Monday Hangover Report

We all know the story. The Broncos beat themselves with uncostly offensive turnovers and the defense couldn't make a stop when it had to. Pass interference call or not, the defense simply failed to execute . Who's to blame? Is it Bob Slowik for continually switching the defensive scheme from a 4-3 to a 3-4 back to a 4-3? Maybe. Is it the fact that the Broncos give up a league leading 72% completion percetage? Uh-huh. How about those safeties? Are Marlon McCree and Marquand Manual effective? These are all questions that I'm asking myself. Oh and throw in a question regarding Dre Bly's cover skills. If you ask me, it's all of the above. Panic button is in the "ON" position.

As for the offense, the turnovers were all due to ball control and fundamentals. They need to go back to the basics and practive tucking the ball high and tight. Treat it like your girl, hold her close and don't let go. Or whatever will get these guys to protect the rock.

Also, am I the only one who thinks Jay Cutler is telegraphing his passes to Brandon Marshall? Again, he missed the TE (in this case Daniel Graham) who was wide open down the seam in the 3rd quarter. He needs to focus on looking off the safeties and corners before he commits to a WR.

3 Things I like: Nate Webster's nasty hit on Fred Taylor, Michael Pittman's rushing performance, and Glenn Martinez' punt return abilities.
